IHSSF - Scholarship
IHSSF may award up to 3 scholarships annually. Each
scholarship will not exceed $2,000. The amount of the
scholarship may vary based on applicant need,
longevity/activity in IAHSS, other funding sources, and
the number of scholarship awards granted by the IHSSF
Foundation. Each scholarship is for a period of one
year.
Successful applicants may reapply each year.
Scholarship awards will be granted without regard to
race, creed, gender, national origin, age, and will be
based solely on the information provided by the
applicant.
Applications containing a certified copy of current
transcript, statement of financial need, and two letters
of recommendation must be postmarked by May 30th each
year and mailed to the IHSSF Foundation.
Award notifications will be sent in July each year.
Eligibility
- Minimum 1 year
active membership in IAHSS
- Member must be
enrolled in an accredited university or college
degree program.
- The academic
degree program must be criminal justice,
business, security, healthcare or a degree
program related to the healthcare security and
safety profession.
- The applicant must
be a student in good standing with a minimum 3.0
GP on a 4.0 scale.
- Applicant is not
able to receive total tuition reimbursement from
their employer. In the case of partial tuition
employer reimbursement, the amount of the
scholarship will not exceed the total tuition
and book costs for the year.
