Distinguished Lifeworks Medal is Presented to an individual who has distinguished himself/herself throughout a fulfilled professional career devoted to the furtherance of the purpose and aims of IHSSF and the goals and objectives of IAHSS
- Who has been fully-retired from employment in healthcare security/safety for at least 30 months
- Who, during the last 20 years and 6 months of that professional career, was an active and participating member of IAHSS
- Who, at the time of retirement, had achieved 5 re-certifications as a Certified Healthcare Security Administrator (CHPA)
- Who, at a minimum, was elected or appointed to and successfully served in Chapter offices and committees
- Whose curriculum vitae provides specific information on:
- at least 10 significant achievements directly contributing to the profession or
- a professional career dedicated to providing a continuous high level of service in the disciplines of the profession as well as
- educational and other professional career achievements
