The IAHSS currently has the following major Work Groups: The Council on Education is responsible for the education and training endeavors of the IAHSS. This includes the development of specific strategies to meet the dynamic educational needs of the healthcare security and safety industry and the evolving customer base of IAHSS. The Council designs, monitors and implements IAHSS education and training programs while working closely with association members and constituents of the healthcare security and safety industry. The Council is responsible for the effective development, coordination and presentation of training and development programs for all association seminar and education endeavors. Additionally, continuous monitoring and evaluation should lead to curriculum evolution and improvement. The Council should expand IAHSS education and training activities into new markets with innovative mediums and establish new products and services. The Council should coordinate and develop teaching aids such as training handbooks, crime prevention materials, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, and computer tutorials. The Council reviews existing products and services for current viability and investigates how existing products can be enhanced and better managed. The Council reviews the Association strategic plan and insures products and deliverables are available to meet the Association goals. The Council on Membership and Regionals is responsible for the overall membership services of IAHSS. The Council is tasked with designing, monitoring and implementing IAHSS member relations programs while working closely with association members and constituents of the healthcare security and safety industry. The Commission on Certification is responsible for the credentialing programs and accreditation endeavors of the IAHSS. This includes the development of specific strategies to meet the certification and accreditation needs of the healthcare security and safety industry and the evolving customer base of IAHSS. The Commission designs, monitors and implements IAHSS certification and accreditation programs while working closely with association members and constituents of the healthcare security and safety industry. The Commission designs, monitors and implements IAHSS certification and accreditation programs aligned with the strategic plan of the Association. The Commission coordinates with the Council on Education to insure the consistency and prevalence of all programs. The Council on Guidelines is responsible for the industry specific guidelines. This includes the development of specific strategies to meet the dynamic program needs of the healthcare security and safety industry and the evolving customer base of IAHSS. The Council designs, monitors and implements IAHSS Guidelines while working closely with association members and constituents of the healthcare security and safety industry. |
